Our Goals
We are a small Portland Owned company striving to develop and bring you the highest quality and largest quantity of mushroom cultures. ​

After getting into the world of mycology and microscopy we noticed there is a surplus of random people providing subpar cultures with poor quality control. This is something that made getting into the hobby difficult. Whether it was getting a completely dry agar plate or a contaminated liquid culture we were having issues getting started.

Our primary goal is to provide only the highest quality products. All of our work is done under a HEPA Flow Hood and is put through a very strict quality control process before it has the opportunity to make it in your hands. Secondary to this we are striving to have the largest selection of genetics for research. We are a newer company and are slowly growing the selection we have available to us making sure to only accept the highest quality standards.

Are Mushroom Spores and Cultures legal?

The answer is YES! Lets go a little more in depth to this. Obviously magic mushrooms themself are illegal due to them containing the active components Psilocybin and Psilocin which create a hallucinogenic effect when consumed. These spores and cultures are at a stage where absolutely no active compounds are present allowing them to be sold for research purposes.

A product I want is out of stock. When will it restock?

Quality of our products is more important than the quantity we send out the door. Because of this we might have a short gap between each restocking. If a culture you want is out of stock then remember to add it to your Wishlist to notify us that its in demand.

Why cant we ship to California, Georgia or Idaho?
​
Unfortunately these three states have laws against these mushroom cultures that prevent us from legally selling them to you.

What is our current lead time?
​
We currently don't have any lead time. Our products ship out the day after your order is placed. For products that are out of stock please reach out to place an order and you will be quoted a lead time depending on your order size and what products you are buying.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is as important to us as the quality of our products. All of the data you enter on our website is retained. We use this data to improve website functions, decide on new cultures, and get in contact with you. We will never sell any of your information and any information gathered will only be used to improve your experience with us.
Shipping Policy
Shipping is available to all U.S. States excluding California, Idaho and Georgia. It is recommended not to leave the package outside for a extended period of time. Temperature fluctuations from outside conditions can potentially damage our cultures. If there is an issue with your package please reach out so we can assist properly. Cultures are shipped in closed packages to ensure they arrive contamination free.

Returns and Refunds
Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns on our products since our products are single use items. Cultures are shipped in closed packages to ensure they arrive contamination free.
We guarantee out products to be 100% contamination free when it arrives at your door. If there is any issue with your order please reach out so we can assist properly. Liquid cultures will need to be re-tested on agar to qualify for a refund or exchange. The Culture Company is dedicated to the quality of its products.
